TDPS Members
We need your help!

The more the better: 2018 is looking to be a busy time for us. The year will be full of plans, proposals and possibilities. Orange cones will be everywhere: from Orakei Road to Ngapipi Rd and along Tamaki Drive to Solent St.  And more, much more. Cycle paths; clip-ons to widen Nagapipi Road Bridge; Raising the level of Tamaki Drive, to prevent flooding;  Flood control and mitigation measures, of Tamaki Drive, near OBC; Raising Tamaki Drive half a metre, to address flooding at the low spots. These are some of the items already on the agenda.

We are regularly contacted by Auckland Transport, Auckland Council, and Orakei  Local Board. We link with neighbourhoods, Residents Associations, Yacht Clubs, environmental groups and ecologists.  We want to share the information and spread the work.  What do you want to find out? Or know more about?  Deadlines, timing, public consultation; How will these affect you?  Your family and our community? The wider Auckland Communities and our international visitors?

The committee meetings are held as needed and generally number 5-6 per year. Please come on board. You can choose which project you will be involved with, or if you wish, just take a general interest in all the current activities. Recent public meetings and publications have brought us new members along with new important matters needing to be addressed.

Because TDPS is a long established charity, which has a valuable standing with decision makers . TDPS makes applications for grants in order to research and promote issues of public concern, relating to Tamaki Drive and it's environs.

Please volunteer to assist this eager group with their community based charity.

Please feel free to contact Secretary Juliet, if you can assist, or if you have any questions.
